How to dismantle Acer Aspire X1700 Desktop PC

Recently I took apart an old pc, my Dads first pc in fact.
Here I have posted some pictures of the insides of the pc.

The Acer Aspire X1700 is a very old computer at this point. Likely around 20 years old. When I first received permission to tinker with this beauty, she ran windows 7 professional. Now she runs Peppermint linux. I’ve tried multiple Linux distros on her but none seem to run quite as smoothly as windows did. Seems odd I know, since I’ve benchmarked ubuntu and windows 11 on my Intel core i5-12600k machine and ubuntu linux is the winner. She probably would make a good website server though.

Nice to see someone referring to old pcs as “she”. Just like ships.
